Hello, there!
I'm Robert L. Penick, and I welcome you to my website. I have some pieces of my writing here, both poetry and prose, and a fraction of my bibliography which has spanned twenty-five years of publishing, hundreds of journal publications and a few short books. I'd also like to provide links to some friends of mine and their creative endeavors. Last, under the "Love for Sale" tab, I'll tell you about a couple of books of mine (one a poetry collection, the other a novel) that need good homes. I hope you enjoy your visit. I can be reached at rlpenick (at) bellsouth (dot) net.
"Like the photographer who finds beauty in abandoned houses and cracked surfaces, his work makes the reader appreaciate the sweat, dust, and failure we brush against..."
Cliff Wieck, author of Hagiography and Bestiary

"...Penick--over and over again--pulls forth these distilled, crystalline shards of loss and hope
and an unflagging, quiet dignity in the face of the whirlwind."
Keith Rosson, author of The Mercy of the Tide and Smoke City.

"...a poet with one foot in the gutter and a head pointed toward heaven."
Michael L. Jones, Louisville Eccentric Observer
"A master of the short poem."
